Job summary

Amazon in Mexico is seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner to drive CMMS governance, planning, and spare parts control. You will lead the local team, ensuring accurate data, timely maintenance, and cost‑efficient processes across our facilities.

The role requires CMMS proficiency, strong English communication, and experience in maintenance scheduling, inventory management, and process improvements to support high equipment availability for internal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years in maintenance or engineering roles.
• 1+ years of CMMS experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience reading procedures, technical docs, and drawings.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• 3+ years as a maintenance planner/scheduler in industrial settings.
• Experience in CMMS and reliability/maintenance environments.
• Experience in operations or inventory management.
• Experience creating process improvements with automation and KPI analyses.
• Experience in project or vendor management.
• PMP certification or 1+ years of predictive/preventive maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the site SME on CMMS, train local team and escalate issues to Global team.
• Ensure CMMS aligns with IntlRME standards and participates in projects.
• Maintain accurate equipment, spare parts, and minimum stock levels in CMMS.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and assigned to technicians.
• Compile equipment info, performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Manage spare parts stock levels and track orders with procurement.

Job description

We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner. The Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner is responsible for asset and spares management, preventative maintenance planning and machine history data. They are the site lead for the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and are required to extract information from it to support the site engineering manager.

Key job responsibilities

• - Be the site level SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software, train the local engineering team in its use and **escalate** issues as required to the Global team.


• - Ensure the system is run in line with IntlRME standards and participate in IntlRME coordinated projects and improvement programs to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling or reports.


• - Ensure site level equipment, spare parts and minimum holding levels are correctly recorded in the system in order to ensure technicians are never without the parts they need.


• - Ensure the system accurately forecasts and assigns all required preventative maintenance to technicians within the team to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.


• - Compile equipment information, performance metrics and machine histories and make recommendations for improvements based on their findings.


• - Manage spare parts stock levels, place and track orders as required. Work with procurement and the wider BR network to find savings or efficiencies.

• - 2+ years of maintenance or engineering experience, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments


• - 1+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience


• - Experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• - Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings


• - Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal


• - 3+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or distribution industries experience


• - Experience working with CMMS software, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments


• - Experience in operations or inventory management


• - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses


• - Experience in project management, or experience in vendor management


• - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or 1+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
