Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a continuously improving complete maintenance program that optimizes safety performance, asset utilization and health, cost-effectiveness and quality objectives, while meeting or exceeding production and business key results.
  • Perform both scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance and solve a broad range of maintenance problems of varying scope and complexity for VSL6.
  • Provide a technical resource for equipment maintenance improvement projects.
  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate with outsourced services and outside suppliers and track them.
  • Create a preventative maintenance plan and complete inspections in accordance with the PM plan.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and 5S.
  • Actively participate in safety and compliance meetings, offering input into improvements required and routinely monitoring the production lines to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and work instructions to improve preventive maintenance and equipment.
  • Prepare cost estimates and recommend purchase of necessary supplies.
  • Coordinate and supervise the maintenance standard is being carried out according to the standard in order to comply with KPIs.
  • Guarantee the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in order to ensure the operation of equipment per workstation.
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance technicians at each workstation in order to optimize resources and support the area by minimizing downtime in the production area.
  • Analyze corrective maintenance plans based on failure reports.
  • Follow up on the OPLs generated by the technical supervisor.
  • Follow up on the development of necessary training for direct personnel according to the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation plan.
  • Promote safety, health, environmental protection and improvement in energy performance according to ISO 14001/ ISO 45001/ ISO 50001 standards in their current versions, as well as compliance with CD03800 and applicable standards.
  • Is responsible for reporting incidents, hazards, risks, opportunities, negative environmental impacts and areas of opportunity for improving energy performance, as well as complying with operational control of your work area related to safety, health, environment and energy.
  • Know and carry out the emergency plan.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Project management.
  • Human resources management.
  • PLC and Robot management and control.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical.
  • Knowledge of the ANDON system.
  • KPIs Downtime, MTBF & MTTR, Maintenance costs.
  • Knowledge of predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering, required.
  • 5+ years experience leading maintenance teams.
  • Strong use of Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving tools: Lean Sigma/ Shainin / other.
  • Finance knowledge: Forecasting and budgets.
  • Coaching and management skills.
  • Microsoft Office, Minitab, SAP.
  • Experience in manufacturing of automotive.
  • Experience working with:
  • Assemblies (Neumatic cylinders).
  • Oil pumps.
  • Terminal welding (Miyachi).
  • Vision systems (Keyence & Cognex).
  • Hydraulic test benches.
  • Laser marking (Trumpf).
  • Laser welding.
  • Pressing (Kistler & Schmidt servo press).
  • PLC Rexroth (OPCON & OPCON PLUS).
  • Robots (Stäubli).
  • Demonstrated results improving equipment efficiency using digital tools to monitor and analyze equipment downtime, MTBF, MTTR.
  • Demonstrated results improving equipment efficiency using Lean tools, TPM, 5S, OEE or other CI techniques.
  • Experience in Creating, Updating and improving Preventative Maintenance schedule and requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Conversational English (90%).
  • Validated ability to drive organizational change.
