The Control Engineer is responsible for the design, development, installation, management, and maintenance of equipment used to monitor and control systems (e.g., PLCs), machinery, and processes. The position's mission is also to plan, coordinate, and control all activities related to PLCs, HMIs, and displays, as well as to prepare the necessary resources to support in the event of a machine control failure and implement action plans for the continuous improvement of all relevant manufacturing engineering processes. It is also their responsibility to develop and coach the maintenance engineer in the area of control engineering. Responsible for Engineering: developing actions to improve maintenance indicators (MTTR and MTBF) and local machine control. Developing new processes, developing technical specifications for machines, calculating budgets and capacities, releasing machines to suppliers, providing training for maintenance supervisors and technicians, and developing standard work instructions for critical maintenance work.
Standardizing best practices to increase plant energy efficiency.
Proposing and implementing energy projects.
Evaluating the impact of energy project proposals from the maintenance team and supporting project nominations.
Initiating and overseeing ongoing employee training in Control Engineering in cooperation with the HR department.
