Corning Incorporated in Reynosa, Mexico, is seeking a Maintenance Automation Engineer to support the reliability, maintenance, and performance of automated manufacturing equipment. You will help minimize downtime, strengthen preventive maintenance, and use data-driven analysis to boost availability and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, motion systems, robots, and drives, plus reading electrical/pneumatic diagrams and guiding cross-functional improvement

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment in an industrial setting.
• Experience with PLCs and HMIs such as Allen-Bradley and Omron.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams; knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability tools.
• Strong collaboration, leadership, and safety-minded mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze downtime, failures, and maintenance history to improve uptime (MTBF/MTTR).
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities while supporting TPM initiatives.
• Troubleshoot automation and controls issues involving PLCs, HMIs, motion systems, drivers, and robots.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and optimize performance.
