Flex seeks a Maintenance Automation Engineer in Guadalajara to maintain automated manufacturing lines, diagnose root causes, and implement improvements for uptime and efficiency. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial networks, collaborating with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, and Test teams.
Ideal candidates have hands-on PLC and robotics experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. Travel to Flex sites may be required.

Job Summary: Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. The “Maintenance Automation Engineer” will be based in Guadalajara, North Campus will be responsible to work with automated lines, giving maintenance and collaborating on automation-sustaining activities.
What a Typical Day Looks Like Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and drive technical solutions. Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Establish and maintain equipment monitoring, data collection, quality assurance, and process control systems. Manage and support automation systems, including safety systems, motor controls, drives, industrial networks, PLCs, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, uptime, and cost reduction. Support new equipment introduction, validation, qualification, and process deployment activities.
