Kyndryl in Mexico City seeks a Mainframe Platform Engineer to provide expert‑level support for IBM Z platforms (z/OS, z/VM, Linux on Z). You will own incident response, RCA, and drive automation to keep critical apps running securely.

With 5+ years in production IBM Z environments, you will tune performance, patch cycles, and coordinate ITIL changes, while mentoring teams and documenting SOPs. The role offers hybrid work and growth through certifications and hands‑on projects.

Formación

Minimum 5 years of hands-on IBM Z platform support in production environments.
Strong experience with TSO/ISPF, JCL, JES2/3, SDSF and RACF concepts.
Experience with z/VM operations (CP commands) and Linux on Z scripting.
Familiarity with monitoring/automation tools such as OMEGAMON, BMC MainView, CA OPS/MVS.
English proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced) for global communication.

Responsabilidades

Monitor and maintain platform health and availability across z/OS, z/VM, and Linux on Z.
Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for P1/P2 events.
Plan and execute patching/compliance cycles with validation and rollback.
Perform performance and capacity analysis; recommend tuning actions.
Automate routine tasks using JCL, REXX, and Linux shell scripting; improve runbooks.
Coordinate ITIL‑based change records and stakeholder communications.
Ensure security hygiene (RACF basics) and vulnerability remediation.
Document SOPs and contribute to knowledge bases and post‑incident reviews.
