CIMMYT busca un Analista de Soporte Financiero proactivo y autodirigido para apoyar las actividades de planificación financiera en su sede en Texcoco. Este puesto temporal de 6 meses involucra diversas responsabilidades cruciales en contabilidad y finanzas, incluyendo la gestión de gastos y la generación de informes financieros. Se valoran habilidades en análisis financiero, Excel avanzado y un enfoque en el servicio al cliente.

Formación

  • Mínimo 3 años de experiencia en Finanzas, Administración o Contabilidad.
  • Capacidad para analizar CSV y hojas de Excel.
  • Dominio del inglés y español (nivel mínimo B2).

CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Financial Support Analyst to work in the Financial Planning Unit within the Operation Chapter.

The position will be based at CIMMYT’s headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City. Please note this is a temporary position (6 months).

Specific Duties
  1. Provide financial support to Employee and Operation Chapters (Internal Units), ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  2. Help implement improvement processes in financial day-to-day activities.
  3. Enter payment requests in the system, ensuring accuracy of account codes, authorizations, and completeness of supporting documentation.
  4. Apply cost recovery and prepare journals in accordance with the month-end closing calendar.
  5. Review and make necessary adjustments in the system each month.
  6. Manage closing balances and focus on special projects and workshops.
  7. Obtain support documentation for Corporate Credit Cards.
  8. Report and monitor credit cards assigned to Operation Chapters staff.
  9. Monitor expenses not official versus user charges and charges to Personal Accounts (Cellphone, Gasoline, Tolls).
  10. Manage chargeback applications for personal services requested from CIMMYT services units.
  11. Collaborate on variance analysis reporting with Chargeback Analysts and other finance teams.
  12. Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with international standards and agreements.
  13. Work closely with different organizational areas to obtain necessary information for financial analysis and correct reallocations.
  14. Support activities of the Finance Program Manager.
  15. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance, Administration, or Accounting, including expenses analysis and general accounting.
  2. Ability to analyze databases, CSV files, and Excel worksheets; experience with Power BI is a plus.
  3. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify financial trends.
  4. Advanced Excel skills.
  5. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and plan.
  6. Proactive and flexible, capable of managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  7. Strong customer service orientation.
  8. Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
  9. Proficiency in English and Spanish, with good written, oral, presentation, and negotiation skills; minimum B2 level.
  10. Ability to work with diverse nationalities, under pressure, and in a team environment.
  11. Sense of urgency and commitment to responsibilities and deadlines.
  12. Key competencies include critical thinking, communication, client orientation, and teamwork.
