The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key high-level hourly associate position in Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs). The LPS leads efforts to provide security services and protect assets such as lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property within a designated fulfillment center. The LP Specialist reports to the Loss Prevention Manager responsible for their facility and supports the FC Operational team and cross-functional teams across the organization.

This position requires flexible shift work, potentially including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Key job responsibilities

1. Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators to achieve performance improvements and desired outcomes.
2. Ensure compliance with internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
3. Assist with investigations of theft and fraud, conducting interviews when appropriate.
4. Promote performance excellence among security team members.
5. Align performance and actions with the organization’s vision and values.
6. Meet or exceed objectives aligned with the security service model.
7. Identify, promote, and implement security best practices in the FC.
8. Serve as the department’s liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management.
9. Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve processes and increase efficiency.
10. Partner with internal customers to evaluate security services, processes, and initiatives.
11. Collect and analyze data from multiple FCs to generate strategic insights.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• At least 2 years of experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, or related fields.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Intermediate English level (B1+).

Preferred qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma certification and familiarity with related concepts.
• Experience with databases such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, and reporting tools.
• Interviewing and interrogation experience; Wicklander and Zulawski certification is a plus.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution center environments.
• Workplace violence and business continuity experience.
• Knowledge of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and loss mitigation strategies.
• Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Analytical skills in performance-based and results-oriented settings.
