Descripción del empleo

The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key high-level hourly associate position in Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs). The LPS leads efforts to provide security services and protect assets such as lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property within a designated FC. The LP Specialist reports to the Loss Prevention Manager and supports both the FC Operational team and cross-functional teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators to enable performance improvements and achieve desired outcomes on time.
  2. Ensure compliance with internal controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  3. Assist investigations of theft and fraud, conducting interviews when appropriate.
  4. Inspire performance excellence among security team members.
  5. Align actions with the organization’s vision and values, and clearly communicate them.
  6. Meet or exceed objectives aligned with the security service model.
  7. Identify, promote, and implement security best practices in the FC.
  8. Serve as the department’s liaison and subject matter expert for facility management, keeping them informed of key issues and performance.
  9. Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and efficiency.
  10. Partner with internal customers to evaluate security services, processes, and initiatives.
  11. Coordinate data collection and analysis from multiple FCs to generate strategic insights.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or in progress to obtain one within a year.
  • 2+ years of experience in security, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
  • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and certification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with databases like SQL, MYSQL, Access, and reporting tools.
  • Experience with interviewing and interrogation; Wicklander and Zulawski certification is a plus.
  • Experience with physical security systems, investigations, and loss mitigation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
