Descripción del empleo

The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key high-level hourly associate position in Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs). The LP Specialist leads efforts to provide security services and protect assets such as lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property within a designated fulfillment center. The LP Specialist reports to the Loss Prevention Manager responsible for their facility and supports the FC operational team and cross-functional teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Enhancing, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators to achieve desired outcomes in a timely manner.
  2. Ensuring internal controls comply with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  3. Assisting with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud, and conducting interviews as appropriate.
  4. Inspiring performance excellence among security team members.
  5. Aligning performance and actions with the organization’s vision and values, and clearly articulating them.
  6. Meeting or exceeding objectives aligned with the security service model.
  7. Identifying, promoting, and implementing security best practices within the FC.
  8. Serving as the department’s liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management, keeping them informed of key issues, strategies, and performance.
  9. Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and increase efficiency.
  10. Partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security services, processes, and initiatives.
  11. Coordinating data collection from multiple FCs and conducting analysis to generate strategic and tactical insights.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts; certification preferred.
  • Experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, Access, and exception-based reporting.
  • Interviewing and interrogation experience; Wicklander and Zulawski certification a plus.
  • On track to obtain a Bachelor’s degree within a year or currently pursuing one.
  • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services.
  • Experience with workplace violence prevention and business continuity planning.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and loss mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Analytical skills in performance-based, results-oriented settings.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
