Job summary

Metso seeks a Warehouse Specialist for Mexico Operations in Irapuato. You will manage the 3PL partner, oversee warehousing, packaging, and value-added services, and drive continuous improvement to cost, productivity, and service quality.

You’ll report to the Head of Warehousing, NCA, and collaborate across the regional logistics network. The role supports hybrid work arrangements, travel up to 30%, and requires strong stakeholder engagement, lean practices, and experience in warehouse processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics and warehousing, including managing warehouse operations, processes, and third-party logistics partners.
• Strong management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead projects, contracts, and cross-functional initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, systems, and operational best practices.
• Experience applying Lean continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence and efficiency gains.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strategic and forward-thinking mindset, with strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with SAP S/4HANA and fluency in both Spanish and English; travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day warehouse operations and the performance of 3PL logistics partners across warehousing, packaging, and value-added services. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational performance, service levels, and customer support.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost-efficiency, productivity, and service quality using Lean methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and promote a strong safety culture within warehouse operations.
• Analyze warehouse performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process and system optimizations.
• Monitor warehouse processes, inventory flows, and logistics activities to ensure operational excellence and reliable execution.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with logistics service providers and key business stakeholders.
• Support strategic warehousing initiatives and perform additional operational tasks as required to meet business objectives.
