Role Purpose
The Logistics & Warehouse Manager implements and monitors all logistics management activities for a region site.
Context & Core Responsibilities
- Design, propose, and implement logistics and supply chain strategies, guidelines, and procedures within broad principles and policies set by the organization.
- Oversee the purchasing of materials and equipment for the area.
- Ensure the traffic, warehousing, and logistics processes support manufacturing operations and optimize costs.
- Supervise all aspects of warehouse operations, such as inventory control, picking and packing procedures, and layout design, ensuring safety rules are followed.
- Build trusting relationships with suppliers, establish agreements, monitor their performance, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement plans to increase productivity, reduce expenses, and improve overall performance.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ISO standards related to supply chain management and logistics.
- Track performance indicators and conduct data analysis to evaluate timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Organize and oversee customer services, transportation, warehousing, and logistics, including managing the entire order cycle from procurement to delivery.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Related university degree (e.g., Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced degrees or certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other supply chain management tools.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing multifunctional staff (direct reports and 3PL services).
- Results-oriented with a drive for achievement.
