Logistics Operations Specialist

The Logistics Operations Specialist will be responsible for timely collection and dissemination of details and documentation relating to inbound deliveries, finished goods shipments, transfer orders, and freight trafficking, to provide visibility to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of logistics operations including warehousing, VAS (value added services) projects, transportation, inventory, and distribution. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and internal partners.
2. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and company standards.
3. Ensure compliance with international customs regulations and documentation requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate and complete customs documentation to facilitate smooth clearance processes for imported and exported goods.
4. Monitor operational performance and costs, addressing any issues that arise.
5. Implement systems and processes to enhance customer service, supply chain visibility, tracking, and reporting.
6. Proactively identify opportunities for optimization, such as route efficiency improvements and inventory management strategies, to minimize costs and improve overall logistics performance.
7. Identify and mitigate potential risks in the international logistics supply chain, such as port delays, geopolitical issues, and transportation disruptions.
8. Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity and minimize the impact of unforeseen events on the company's global logistics operations.
9. Assist in optimizing processes/workflows in WMS & ERP systems.
10. Collaborate with internal partners, upstream & downstream to allow for efficient flow of communication related to CRD (Central Registration Repository), warehouse receipts and international shipments.
11. Collaborate with the Central Logistics team to design, set up, and implement new international hubs.
12. May supervise up to 3 employees.

Experience and qualifications

1. 5+ years previous experience in logistics operations & 3PL activities.
2. Proficient in English communication, both spoken and written.
3. Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
4. Experience in managing both international and domestic freight shipments.
5. Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and TMS (Transportation Management System) software applications, showcasing technological proficiency.
6. Ability to communicate productively across diverse teams to facilitate streamlined logistics processes.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft.
8. Strong understanding of global automotive components production, logistics, and coordination.
9. Demonstrate an aptitude for systematic work and a keen interest in optimizing logistics systems.
10. Bachelor Degree (Engineering or Administration).
