The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the relationships with logistics partners to ensure efficient and timely transportation of goods. This role provides support to internal stakeholders such as Operations and Commercial teams, ensuring smooth coordination across the supply chain. The Logistics Coordinator proactively participates in the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, with a strong focus on service, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
This role is ideal for someone with analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
- BS in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, International Trade, or Industrial and/or Process Engineer or equivalent years of experience
- From 1 up to years in a similar role is preferred
- Responsible for portfolio of account(s) under general supervision
Key Activities And General Responsibilities
- Logistics Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and maintain monthly inbound volume reports for warehouse partners; track warehouse capacity utilization; develop cost-per-case and KPI dashboard reports; manage large-volume program data (e.g., spend, claims, volume shipped) to support negotiations and decision-making
- Freight & Cost Management: Maintain master matrices for freight lanes (Ocean, OTR, Drayage); gather freight rates and support costing initiatives for new products and warehouse partners; assist in demurrage/detention reporting and recovery processes
- Operational Support: Support international and domestic bookings; contribute to the execution and oversight of key logistics programs; perform warehouse onboarding and costing analysis
- Customs & Trade Compliance: Conduct internal customs audits for the U.S. and Canada; maintain HTS codes and international trade agreement records; assist in training and compliance with import/export processes
- Commercial & Customer Service Support: Provide high-quality service to internal teams, vendors, and customers; coordinate closely with Operations and Commercial teams to clarify orders, resolve issues, and support new costing projects
- General Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as assigned, aligned with ongoing business and operational priorities
Knowledge Required
- Experience in a logistics or supply chain environment
- Experience in perishable commodities or food logistics (preferred)
- ERP systems knowledge and solid Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
- Strong analytical and mathematical thinking
- Clear communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask, manage time under pressure, and handle multiple priorities
Hiring details
