Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in a logistics environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Fluency in English is required. The role includes coordinating with freight companies and managing shipping requirements.

Overview

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day operation of all aspects of logistics in shipping, ensuring that they are timely and cost effective. Arrange warehousing and transportation of products to the distribution center or a customer. May investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Assists in traffic management functions including routing pickup and delivery of freight; freight consolidation; freight quotations; and freight forwarders.
• Coordinates shipping and scheduling requirements, freight carriers, freight consolidators, and freight forwarders.
• Audit and approval of freight bills.
• Calculate freight quotations for special projects.
• Monitor performance with freight forwarders for Rain Bird Mexico (RBM)
• Export compliance--ensure that RBM is following export rules and regulations.
• Identify process improvement within freight processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Liaises with local freight companies to review KPI’s and freight pricing
• Import/exports freight management
• Manage large project orders, in liaison with Sales, the Dealer, the Contractor and the 3PL warehouse in terms of allocating and dispatching stock

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Three to five years’ experience in Logistics environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to speak and write in English clearly
• Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Strong customer service orientation
• Experience in using Microsoft Office

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in business or logistics.
• Experience with ERP systems
