Responsibilities:
- Management of the plant materials functions
- Develop and monitor inventory control policies and procedures
- Maintain inventory accuracy and control/ manager cycle counts activity
- Coordinate physical inventories
- Identify and correct causes of material and inventory variances
- Oversee and provide directions to the shipping, receiving, customer service and purchasing functions
- Procurement of raw materials, scheduling and arrival follow up through MRP
- Assure continuous production activities by avoiding lack of raw materials when material is needed for production.
- Maintain IATF16949 and ISO14001 compliance for materials.
- Support APQP teams needs for materials and approval process.
- Support and plan for new projects production start up with particular care on ram-up phase
- Manage supplier relations and issues for material supplies
- Follow up on materials / equipment / Products import/ export activities
- Meet customer on time delivery requirements
- Understand customer quoted capacity, production and shipments capacity and plan shipments accordingly by interacting with the production planning functions.
- Establish and manage supplier performance rating systems
- Establish formal planning and procurement systems using computerized manufacturing systems in SAP
- Forecast material requirements to satisfy customer demand.
- Promote use of MRP and Kanban systems to insure acceptable delivery performance levels.
- Promote operational improvement and cost down programs
- Report department metrics according to described responsibilities
- Contribute to achieve plant metrics
- Implement new business customer, material and shipments requirements
- Oversee warehouse (receiving, shipping activities)
- Oversee that logistics activities are compliant to legal requirements (Tax related including)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in related field to logistics or demonstrate proficiency based technical experience to interview with HR or Line Manager
- Experiencia in project and process management in logistics
- Management experience leading personnel
- 5 years experience in material management
- Experience working with automotive customers (OEM and TIER1) for a minimum of 2 years
- Experience working with ERP system (SAP is a must)
- English language advance
