To protect the Corporation, its customers, employees, and assets by:
- Planning and implementing security programs for FedEx management, employee groups, and customers.
- Implementing loss prevention programs and conducting investigations into theft, pilferage, and other acts against the Corporation, its customers, employees, and assets.
- Maintaining and updating a crisis management program for all senior members of the Corporation.
- Establishing and maintaining liaison with law enforcement agencies to ensure prompt responses to security investigations and matters involving FedEx and government bodies.
- Providing matrix support and professional advice on all security matters to management levels.
- Ensuring compliance with Regional Aviation Security legislation.
- Recruiting, selecting, developing, and managing the performance of security personnel, ensuring they have the resources to meet objectives.
- Implementing effective security systems, conducting investigations, and reporting findings with recommended actions.
- Developing and conducting training programs to promote employee compliance with security procedures.
- Recommending and implementing security policies focused on protecting customer goods, assets, information, employee property, and the company's image.
- Liaising with customers on security matters to foster confidence and resolve issues.
- Leading investigations with law enforcement agencies and maintaining these relationships for prompt responses.
- Conducting security and aviation audits, surveys, and inspections of FEC facilities, and reporting AVSEC recommendations.
- Managing project work and other duties as assigned by Corporate Security management.
- Controlling costs within a budget of $4M.
- Performing risk assessments of various business areas, including virtual tools.
- Selecting, training, developing, and motivating a team of Security Managers and Specialists.
Additionally, the candidate must have:
- A Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited ABA law school and admission to the bar.
- A superior academic record.
- At least six (6) years of experience in law firms or multinational corporations, with demonstrated competence in corporate law, contracts, and transportation or cross-border transactions.
- Preferred experience in regulatory, finance, and international law.
- Excellent research, writing, negotiation, human relations, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
