To directly sell all FedEx products and services (domestic and international) to defined national account customers, resulting in net additional revenue for FedEx. The role involves assisting FedEx management in developing and executing sales strategies, and finding ways to sell this business at higher yields and profit margins to meet corporate objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring attainment of assigned revenue goals.
- Selling all FedEx services to a customer base defined by FedEx management, resulting in net incremental revenue while maximizing profitability.
- Developing and implementing a sales work plan and schedule to meet all required sales activities, including sales calls, service calls, proposals, VIP trips, and other activities as defined by FedEx management.
- Maintaining an account intelligence system that records, stores, and reports all sales activities, account information, marketplace and industry insights, competitive activity, and other relevant data.
- Implementing various marketing and sales programs as instituted by FedEx.
- Gathering and reporting competitive activity within assigned accounts, including pricing, tactics, and advances.
- Collaborating with all FedEx resources (headquarters, stations, credit, BSCs, etc.) to ensure ongoing revenue achievement and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting and upholding all FedEx sales directives and providing feedback through appropriate channels.
- Coordinating all activities related to their assigned national accounts and resolving any problems that arise.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration, with a major in marketing or finance.
- At least five (5) years of professional, commercial, or industrial sales experience.
- Proven ability to achieve major account sales goals and develop customer sales strategies.
- Strong human relations, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel heavily overnight.
- Fluent in English.
