Involves the completion of administrative tasks and coordination relating to the front-line operation which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, despatch activities and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these roles, the majority of time is spent on office-based activities.
General Job Description: Advising and offering a range of products and services to customers to achieve sales objectives, as well as developing frequent customers and credit.
- Performs a variety of customer service, administrative, and office tasks that require direct or indirect interaction with the customer.
- Supports customers with package tracking, responds to questions about products and sales services at the counter or by phone.
- Verifies packages ensuring proper labeling, legality of contents including weight and size, adequate wrapping, insured value, special requirements for handling hazardous materials, and compliance with required customs documentation at the destination.
- Collaborates with budget compliance, income/expenses, and supports optimizing branch profitability by optimizing resources.
- Is responsible for opening and closing the branch, maintains a clean work area, reviews furniture and work materials. Respects customer service times.
- Recognizes new customers or additional business opportunities and offers suitable services and solutions, opens new accounts, obtains additional shipments, and presents sales opportunities.
- Ensures an excellent customer experience by developing and providing suitable solutions to customer problems.
- Monitors commercial and administrative processes, communicating with the areas involved. Responsible for safeguarding company values and preventing deviations, shortages, and mismanagement in the WSC.
- Requests necessary supplies for daily documentation and packaging of shipments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Language: English proficiency.
Minimum Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in sales and/or face-to-face customer service.
- Solid knowledge of handling cash and valuables.
- Prior experience in FedEx SCS Warehouse with good knowledge of operations and key customer requirements.
Minimum Required Skills:
- Ability to lift 34 kg and maneuver packages weighing up to 68 kg using appropriate equipment.
