Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA seeks a proactive Value Optimization Engineer – Lighting & Restraints to drive total cost management and design efficiency across vehicle lighting and occupant restraint systems.

You will lead VA/VE initiatives, partner with Product Engineering, Purchasing, and Tier-1 suppliers, and translate tear-down insights into validated cost savings for lighting and restraints, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to identify design simplification and cost-out opportunities.
• Lead tear-downs and benchmarking to drive design optimization and cost reductions for lighting and restraint systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to convert insights into validated savings.

Responsibilities

• Lead VA/VE idea generation through competitive tear-downs and benchmarking.
• Evaluate engineering, manufacturing, and financial feasibility with business case analyses.
• Collaborate with DREs, Systems Engineers, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to gain buy-in.
• Work with Tier-1 suppliers to analyze cost drivers and drive joint value-creation projects.
• Coordinate validation to ensure changes meet FMVSS/ECE safety standards and internal requirements.
• Travel to assembly plants and supplier facilities to evaluate part-fitment and verify implementation.
