Placements24 seeks an experienced Líder Técnico Blockchain in Ciudad Juárez to design, implement, and guide blockchain protocols and core infrastructure. You will lead engineers through conceptualization to deployment, balancing performance, security, and scalability while advancing research and open-source collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cryptography, or related field.
• 7+ years of software development with focus on blockchain protocol design and implementation.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Deep understanding of PoW, PoS, and BFT consensus mechanisms and trade-offs.
• Expertise in cryptography, network protocols, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++.
• Experience optimizing performance and hardening security of distributed systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and architectural design skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to articulate technical vision.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of blockchain protocols and core infrastructure.
• Mentor and manage a blockchain engineering team.
• Oversee development, testing, and deployment of nodes, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic primitives.
• Define technical roadmaps and architectural standards for protocol development.
• Collaborate with research teams on cutting-edge cryptography and distributed systems.
• Ensure security, scalability, efficiency, and resilience of the network.
