Job summary
Vertiv is seeking an Industrial Engineering & Productivity professional to drive labor standards, capacity planning, and line balancing for manufacturing operations. You will design layouts, analyze material flow, and lead continuous improvement through Lean tools.
Collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain is essential. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally to support plant assessments and transfers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Operations Excellence.
- Experience in HVAC, Liquid Cooling, industrial manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or high-volume production environments preferred.
- Experience in labor planning, productivity analysis, and facility layout design.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain labor standards using time studies, work sampling, and predetermined motion time systems.
- Perform workforce planning and labor capacity analysis to support production requirements.
- Lead line balancing activities to optimize labor utilization and improve throughput.
- Analyze direct and indirect labor performance and identify productivity opportunities.
- Establish and maintain standard work and labor reporting systems.
