A global manufacturing leader in Monterrey seeks a Lean Manager to optimize resources through Lean tools. Responsibilities include managing work teams and applying Change Management practices for project implementation. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree (MBA preferred) and experience in Lean, Quality, and Operations. Excellent English proficiency is required.

Formación

  • At least 3 years of experience in Lean, Quality, and Operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Process engineering.
  • Advanced English proficiency required.

Lean Manager

Objective

Optimize available resources in the plant through Lean tools by coordinating work teams and promoting continuous improvement, digital transformation, and the implementation of technical and cultural projects through effective change management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage work teams to develop continuous improvement and cost-saving projects.
  • Coach multidisciplinary teams on projects using Lean tools.
  • Apply Change Management practices during project implementation.
  • Manage headcount in the plant based on customer requirements.
  • Oversee productivity through the HH/PZA (hours per piece) indicator.
  • Manage overtime according to plant requirements.
  • Implement the AXIS system in the plant.
  • Lead and monitor 5S audits within the plant.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree – required: MBA (Desirable)
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering, or industrial engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Lean, Quality, and Operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Process engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Digital Transformation/Industry 4.0 – Familiar with automation, IoT, data analytics, and smart manufacturing platforms to enable operational excellence.
  • Basic Financial Management – Capable of building and presenting solid business cases (ROI, cost savings, payback). Understands manufacturing costs, margins, and the financial impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Action Oriented, Decision Making, Negotiating, Change Management, Planning.
  • Competencies: Business Vision – Ability to understand the business beyond operations and contribute strategically to its growth and competitiveness.
    Global Mindset – Effective collaboration with international and multicultural teams; adapts communication and influence on diverse environments.
    Experience in building, mentoring, and empowering Lean teams. Drives a self-sustaining culture of continuous improvement.
    Operational Innovation – Proactively proposes creative solutions to complex challenges. Goes beyond incremental improvement to generate breakthrough impact.
  • Language: Advanced English proficiency required. Superior communication and presentation skills are strongly preferred.
