Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management and building systems, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Mexico to lead lean transformations, design manufacturing cells, and optimize production capacity for multiple processes including assembly and painting. The role emphasizes safety, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across value streams.

You will drive process improvements, develop standard work and FMEA documentation, and mentor technicians while coordinating

Formación

• Industrial, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• +4 years of experience in assembly and paint processes.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement, line balancing, capacity calculations, planning and layout.
• Project management experience.
• Proven record of successful change management, cost reduction programs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Plans and prioritizes work effectively, adapts to changing conditions.
• Original thinking and ability to identify problems and generate creative solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment with accident prevention culture.
• Manufacturing cell design.
• Calculate and control optimal capacities of production lines and fabrication processes.
• Verify Time standards and calculate earn hours per family products.
• Facilitating A3 problem solving.
• Designing future state value streams.
• Create technical documentation (standard work sheets, OMS, ODS, FMEA, etc.).
• Contribute to organizational advancement in the JCMS.
• Share best practices from benchmarking activities.
• Evaluate and modify layouts of production lines and cells.
• Lead and update databases for product routes, production times, and headcount of operators.
• Work with multidisciplinary groups to implement Lean Manufacturing.
• Reduce high-risk PFMEA numbers.
• Drive process activities for New Product Introduction into full production.
• Coach and train Manufacturing Technicians.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
