  • Ability to lead workshops and present to senior stakeholders.

Descripción del empleo

Plan A Technologies is looking for aLead Product Designerto own product direction and design leadership across our client engagements. This is a senior, client-facing role. You will work directly with client stakeholders to understand their business, define the product and UX direction, and design the flows and defining screens that set the standard for everything built after them.

You are the designer who can say "we can absolutely build what you're asking for, but before we commit, let me show you an approach I think solves the underlying problem better," and make the client excited to explore it.

You will work alongside UI & Visual Designers who scale your approved direction across the full product, which means your time goes where senior judgment actually matters: discovery, concepting, alignment, and quality oversight. You will typically hold direction on more than one engagement at a time, with your involvement rising and falling as each one moves through its lifecycle.

Please note: you must have at least 8+ years of product design experience, including substantial client or stakeholder-facing work, and a portfolio showing your process from problem through to shipped product is required to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Lead discovery with client stakeholders: business goals, users, requirements, technical and design system constraints, and how success will be measured.

Define the product and UX direction, including alternative approaches the client has not asked for but should see.

Design the key flows and the defining screens and patterns that establish the direction for production.

Run workshops, present concepts, and build stakeholder confidence in the direction and in Plan A.

Challenge assumptions constructively, including client-mandated decisions, without putting the relationship at risk.

Define the validation strategy: what we test, how we test it, and what result would change the direction.

Document the agreed design direction, covering the problem, the constraints, what Plan A recommended, what the client selected, and who approved it.

Review production work for quality and drift as the UI & Visual Designer scales the direction across the product.

Monitor client sentiment and raise design risk to design leadership early, while it is still a project issue rather than an escalation.

EXPERIENCE

8+ years in product design, with meaningful time spent client-facing or stakeholder-facing.

A portfolio that shows how you think, not only what you shipped: the problem, the constraints, the options you considered, and why you chose the one you chose.

Demonstrated ability to lead a room. Workshops, concept presentations, and difficult conversations with senior stakeholders.

Strong product and business judgment. You can connect a design decision to a commercial outcome and explain it to someone who is not a designer.

Strong visual design competence, and the ability to recognise and elevate exceptional craft in others. You do not need to be the strongest pure visual designer in the room, but you must know exactly what excellent looks like.

Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including components, variables and auto-layout, and comfort working inside an existing design system rather than around it.

Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).

Experience designing within real constraints: established products, existing component libraries, technical limitations, and fixed timelines.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. You will be presenting to client executives.

Initiative and drive to do great things.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience in gaming, casino, or other regulated environments.

Familiarity with Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).

Hands-on research and usability testing background.
