Tential Solutions in Mexico City is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and optimization of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure and internal platforms. This on‑site role requires hands‑on engineering and architectural leadership to improve developer experience, CI/CD efficiency, reliability, and platform governance.

Tential is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and optimization of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure and internal platforms. This role combines hands‑on engineering with architectural leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, mentoring, and the establishment of reusable standards that improve developer experience, CI/CD efficiency, reliability, and platform governance.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture: Design and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure across AWS and GCP, along with the CI/CD pipelines that support custom applications and infrastructure services.
• Technical Leadership: Author and propose technical design documents and RFCs, build consensus around architectural decisions, and lead complex enterprise platform initiatives across multidisciplinary teams.
• Enterprise Standards: Establish reusable standards and "golden paths" for workspace and AI administration, application governance, and data security in a complex multi‑team environment.
• Developer Experience: Create reusable libraries, modular workflows, SDKs, and platform capabilities that allow internal engineering teams to build safely and efficiently.
• Operational Excellence: Lead modernization efforts that move legacy integrations toward secure, scalable, event‑driven architectures.
• Mentoring & Influence: Mentor engineers, advocate for engineering best practices, and communicate technical recommendations to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex, enterprise‑level platform or DevOps initiatives with multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Python or Node.js and relevant application frameworks.
• Deep experience designing and integrating APIs to build scalable platform solutions.
• Strong architectural experience designing multi‑tenant environments with appropriate isolation, governance, and global standards.
• Hands‑on experience with serverless computing, API gateways, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or comparable tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native architecture and CI/CD principles.
• Excellent technical documentation skills and the ability to advocate for technical best practices with engineers and executives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading development or administration of collaboration platforms at a scale of 10,000+ users.
• Contributions to open‑source libraries or community tools.
• Experience in the gaming industry or another environment supporting complex creative or digital‑production workflows.
