Applied Medical in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to lead the construction of injection molds and prototype components for medical device development. You will guide machining teams, create routing sheets, and ensure builds meet engineering specs and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating engineering drawings, schedules, and tooling, while maintaining compliance with quality systems and safety guidelines.

Formación

• Five+ years of experience in injection mold making or mold building in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lead and coordinate machining and tooling teams through complex builds.
• Experience developing routing sheets, schedules, and workflows for mold construction.
• Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Technical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Ability to read/write/speak English for documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and guide construction of injection molds and RD components per drawings and instructions.
• Coordinate machining, inspection, and design teams to ensure progress.
• Identify and sequence tasks to meet development timelines.
• Create routing sheets detailing full construction process.
• Prepare prototypes with proper fixturing for repeatable machining.
• Monitor build progress and address challenges.
• Maintain compliance with quality systems and safety guidelines.
