EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Lead Mobile Engineer to drive architecture and evolution of large-scale, customer-facing mobile experiences on iOS and Android. Deep expertise in Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and Design Systems is required.

You will lead the delivery of high-impact features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and define architectural standards, testing practices, and developer tooling across the mobile organization.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications with production exposure on Android too.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of scalable iOS apps using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Define technical vision for modern iOS architecture and modular components.
• Own Design Systems and reusable UI components across product teams.
• Deliver features that integrate with backend APIs, microservices, personalization, loyalty, and checkout systems.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/Design, Android, Backend, QA, Architecture, and Platform leadership.
• Guide CI/CD pipelines, testing, build processes, and release automation.
• Set standards for clean, secure, and testable code with strong test coverage.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence across mobile teams.

We are looking for an exceptional Lead Mobile Engineer with extensive production experience across both iOS and Android platforms to lead the design, architecture, and evolution of large-scale, customer-facing mobile experiences.The ideal candidate has deep, authoritative expertise in Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Design Systems, and modern iOS architecture, combined with a proven track record of technical leadership, setting engineering direction, and driving scalability, performance, reliability, and engineering excellence across mobile organizations.ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, high-quality native iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUIDefine and drive the technical vision for modern iOS architecture, modular components, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices across the mobile organizationOwn the strategy and evolution of Design Systems and reusable UI components, enabling consistent customer experiences and accelerating development efficiency across multiple product teamsLead the delivery of complex, high-impact customer-facing features that integrate with backend APIs, microservices, personalization, loyalty, product, cart, checkout, and other enterprise platformsPartner strategically with Product, UX/Design, Android, Backend, QA, Architecture, and Platform leadership to shape and deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectivesCollaborate closely with the Mobile Platform team to define, adopt, and enhance shared frameworks, foundational capabilities, architecture standards, developer tooling, and common servicesProvide technical leadership across the complete SDLC, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production supportDefine and champion the roadmap for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, build processes, release automation, and developer productivity improvementsSet the standard for clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code with strong unit and UI test coverageLead code reviews, technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and drive the creation of high-quality engineering documentationProactively identify, prioritize, and drive the resolution of technical debt while leading improvements in application performance, scalability, reliability, security, organizationRequirements5+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications, with substantial production experience across both iOS and Android1+ years of demonstrated technical leadership on large-scale mobile initiativesDeep expertise in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI, along with the iOS SDKProven track record of designing, building, and evolving Design Systems, reusable UI components, and shared libraries/frameworks adopted across multiple teamsAdvanced understanding of iOS application architecture, design patterns, modularization, dependency management, and separation of concerns, with the ability to define architectural direction at scaleExpertise in designing applications that integrate with REST APIs and distributed backend servicesStrong command of networking, concurrency, and data persistence, along with application lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimizationAdvanced skills in unit testing, UI testing, and code quality practices, including Git and automated build/release processesSolid experience defining and improving CI/CD pipelines and mobile application deployment processesDeep understanding of SDLC, Agile development practices, and production support for large-scale applicationsDemonstrated success partnering with Platform teams and cross-functional engineering leadership to deliver shared technical capabilitiesStrong ability to troubleshoot and lead resolution of complex production issues using application monitoring, analytics, crash reporting, and observability toolsProven experience mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards across teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and effectively convey technical decisions, trade-offs, risks, and dependencies to executive, technical, and non-technical stakeholdersNice to haveExtensive background in leading large-scale retail, e-commerce, or high-traffic consumer mobile applicationsProven
