Job summary

FORVIA HELLA is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. The role leads automotive product development from RFQ through validation and launch, ensuring QCT targets are met and coordinating global cross-functional teams.

The candidate will translate customer and regulatory requirements into robust specifications, drive technical decisions, and support continuous improvement and knowledge transfer across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• 5+ years of automotive product development experience.
• Knowledge of product development processes, validation methodologies and V-Model.
• Experience leading technical discussions and coordinating cross-functional teams globally.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of automotive products from RFQ to launch, meeting QCT targets.
• Define technical solutions translating requirements into robust specs and plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional and global teams, managing risks, milestones, and resources.
• Validate concepts via simulations, calculations, testing, and verification per standards.
• Represent customers and stakeholders, fostering improvements and knowledge transfer.
