Siemens Energy in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Primary Substation Engineer to lead an engineering team and drive primary design initiatives for HV substations.

You will develop criteria, perform critical calculations, and create equipment specs while coordinating with marketing and project teams to meet schedules and mitigate risks. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and fluency in English for North American projects.

Formación

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on primary electrical design for high voltage substations.
• Knowledge of ANSI standards; IEC standards knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation and Revit.

Responsabilidades

• Develop project design criteria for substations and switchyards, including one-line diagrams and layouts.
• Support 3D design for proposals and pricing; perform electrical design calculations.
• Perform cable ampacity, grounding, lighting, and station auxiliary load calculations.
• Create equipment specifications and bill of materials.
• Develop conceptual layouts for HVDC and SVC.
• Support marketing and project teams to meet schedules and flag delays or risks.
