Mattel is seeking a Lead Development Program Manager to drive new product development programs from concept through production at the Monterrey facility, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development in Montreal.   • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, program management, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional product development programs from concept through production.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally, including Asia, as required.
  • Experience with consumer products, construction toys, plastics, or injection molding is asset.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead multiple global product development programs from concept through production launch.
  • Build and manage integrated project plans, ensuring milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Mexico, Canada, Asia, and external suppliers for flawless execution.
  • Drive issue resolution and proactively manage risks related to design, tooling, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and readiness.
  • Ensure readiness for milestones including prototypes, EP, FEP, tooling qualification, and production launch.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Operations to transition products into Monterrey facility.
  • Provide clear project status, risk assessments, and recovery plans to senior leadership.

Job Description

Mattel Brick Shop is seeking a Lead Development Program Manager to drive the successful execution of new product development programs from concept through production. Based at our Monterrey manufacturing facility and reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development in Montreal, Canada, this role will lead cross-functional teams to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and ready for a successful production launch.

As the primary program management lead for the Monterrey Product Development team, you will work closely with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and global partners to ensure seamless execution and successful industrialization of new products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead multiple global product development programs from concept through production launch.
  • Build and manage integrated project plans, ensuring key milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Mexico, Canada, Asia, and external suppliers to drive flawless project execution.
  • Drive issue resolution and proactively manage risks related to design, tooling, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product readiness.
  • Ensure readiness for key development milestones, including prototype builds, Engineering Pilot (EP), Final Engineering Pilot (FEP), tooling qualification, and production launch.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Operations teams to successfully transition new products into the Monterrey manufacturing facility.
  • Provide clear project status, risk assessments, and recovery plans to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, program management, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional product development programs from concept through production.
