Fitch Group, part of Hearst, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Monterrey, Mexico to design and scale data pipelines and ML-ready data platforms. You will lead hands-on development, collaborate with analytics and AI teams, and drive best practices across data lakes and warehouses.

Qualifikationen

• 5-8 years hands-on data engineering experience in financial services or regulated industry.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, including API/data pipeline development.
• Experience designing solutions on AWS with containerization (Kubernetes/EKS) and serverless (AWS Lambda).
• Experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Governance, Data Mesh; CI/CD and automated testing; Agile delivery.
• 1-2 years AI-enabled engineering or data tooling (LLM-based tools, prompt workflows, semantic search, RAG pipelines).
• Ability to lead technical workstreams and mentor junior engineers.

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines, APIs, and data products.
• Act as hands-on technical lead contributing to coding, SQL development, testing, and production support.
• Develop robust solutions across data lakes, data warehouses, and governed data environments for performance and reliability.
• Work on intelligent automation and agentic use cases with LLM-based tools and related tech.
• Partner with business, analytics, and AI/ML teams to deliver data solutions aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Lead technical design, delivery planning, and coordination across initiatives; mentor teammates.
• Establish and enforce data engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, and ops.
