Mattel Brick Shop is seeking a Lead Product Development Engineer at our manufacturing plant in Monterrey to drive innovative construction toy products from concept to production. You will lead engineering activities on complex projects, ensuring designs meet quality, functionality, manufacturability, cost, and consumer experience requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in product engineering or development.
• Experience leading products from concept through production.
• Knowledge of plastic part design, tooling, injection molding, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong project engineering, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering drawing/CAD tools.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Experience with Asian suppliers and manufacturing partners is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally, including Asia.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the engineering development of construction toy products from concept through production launch.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners throughout the development process.
• Own EP and FEP builds, driving issue resolution and production readiness.
• Manage prototype and production sample builds, incorporating design, engineering, and quality feedback.
• Review engineering documentation, drawings, and BOMs for accuracy and completeness.
• Support tooling development, mold qualification, and production readiness activities.
• Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and support final product approval.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
