The Marketing Cloud Sales Engineering team is a group of professionals focused on the industry-leading solutions of Marketing Cloud. They assist customers in developing and implementing strategies to elevate their digital marketing efforts. The team collaborates with various departments to create tailored solutions that enhance customer engagement. The Solution Engineering team operates at the crossroads of Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and Product Development, engaging with the entire customer lifecycle. Your Impact:

  • A Solution Engineer at Salesforce Marketing Cloud plays a key role in aligning digital marketing strategies with technological solutions for strategic accounts. They partner with clients and internal teams, including C-level contacts, to develop multi-product solutions across Salesforce offerings. Responsibilities include business development, operational and IT strategy, and executive product demonstrations. The engineer acts as a trusted advisor to promote innovative solutions and improve business outcomes. Main focus areas include:

  • Business Problem Solving: Analyzing complex business issues, conducting research, defining problems, generating ideas, and recommending actionable steps.

  • Innovation Management: Facilitating decision-making by presenting options, evaluating solutions, and building consensus among stakeholders. Assisting clients in developing decision frameworks and governance models that deliver sustained value.

  • Connecting Experiences: Demonstrating software capabilities through demos and prototypes, designing customer journey strategies, and creating IT roadmaps that showcase connected experiences with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Solutioning involves supporting discovery, analysis, and strategic recommendation processes, delivering live product demos, and addressing client-specific marketing challenges using Marketing Cloud technologies.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Technical skills in programming languages like Ampscript, API integrations, and calls.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, either as a user, implementer, or Solution Engineer.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; persuasive in engaging clients from VP to C-level.

  • Proven success in driving organizational change within client organizations.

  • Experience in organizational design, process optimization, digital governance, and team dynamics is a plus.

  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines to help clients transform their business with Salesforce.

  • Skills in analyzing, structuring, and negotiating long-term technology initiatives.

  • Understanding of project lifecycle management and current technology trends.

  • Experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in complex environments.

  • Knowledge of user research, user-centered design, and online consumer behavior.

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities.
