Autoliv in Mexico is seeking a Launch Industrial Engineer to bridge product and process design with manufacturing execution, ensuring successful industrialization of new products from development through serial production.

You will support the launch of new production lines by optimizing and standardizing manufacturing processes, validating process performance, and ensuring readiness to meet quality, productivity, and operational targets.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsabilidades

• Bridge product and process design with manufacturing execution to industrialize new products.
• Support the launch of new production lines by optimizing and standardizing manufacturing processes.
• Validate process performance and readiness to meet quality, productivity, and operational targets.
• Develop, validate, and refine standardized work instructions during prototype, pilot, and pre-serial production phases.
• Lead APQP/PPAP activities and ensure customer and internal quality requirements are met before production launch.
• Develop and maintain control plans, PFMEA, and response actions to strengthen processes and product quality.
• Manage customer quality concerns, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective actions.
• Monitor launch readiness and ensure compliance with Autoliv and customer requirements before SOP.

In this role you will beresponsible for bridging product and process design with manufacturing execution, ensuring the successful industrialization of new products from development through serial production. You will support the launch of new production lines by optimizing and standardizing manufacturing processes, validating process performance, and ensuring readiness to meet quality, productivity, and operational targets. Additionally, you will develop, validate, and continuously refine standardized work instructions during prototype, pilot, and pre-serial production phases to ensure a smooth transition into high-volume manufacturing.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

• Lead APDS and PPAP activities, ensuring all customer and internal quality requirements are met and approved prior to production launch.
• Develop, maintain, and validate prototype, pre-production, and serial production Control Plans to ensure robust manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Drive PFMEA activities and risk assessments, identifying potential failure modes, strengthening error-proofing measures, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Manage customer quality concerns and complaints, including customer visits, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and verification of issue closure.
• Monitor launch readiness by tracking open quality issues, escalating risks as needed, ensuring timely resolution, and verifying compliance with Autoliv and customer requirements before SOP.

If You Have/are

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or manufacturing operations within a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP methodologies, PFMEA, Control Plans, customer quality requirements, and production launch processes.
• Proven understanding of manufacturing processes, process validation, production readiness, and the ability to troubleshoot process, equipment, and tooling issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with a results-oriented mindset, customer focus, attention to detail, and willingness to travel as required.
