AXA Partners seeks an Underwriting Manager for LATAM to lead the regional underwriting team, drive profitable growth, and shape innovative reinsurance solutions across a dynamic market. You will collaborate with product, legal, compliance, and risk to align policies with global strategy.

The role requires 5+ years in underwriting or related fields, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

• Actuary or equivalent with over 5 years of experience in underwriting, pricing, or product design within the insurance industry.
• Deep knowledge of CPI, protection, non-life risks, and reinsurance schemes relevant to LATAM markets.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders and presenting to senior management.
• Proven ability to influence change, foster innovation, and cascade strategic objectives.
• Experience in driving business transformation and deploying innovative reinsurance solutions.
• Strong negotiation skills and an entrepreneurial spirit to navigate complex market environments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the LATAM underwriting team with technical excellence and alignment to strategies.
• Define and evolve underwriting policies with product, legal, compliance, and risk teams.
• Drive portfolio growth by developing partnerships, offers, and defending existing business.
• Act as the technical point of contact for legal and compliance governance.
• Support deployment of protection business transformation and innovative reinsurance schemes.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and collaborate.
• Represent the business in negotiations, managing deals up to €5M GWP for Life and €2M GWP for GAP.
• Shape the regional strategic vision and cascade objectives to the team.
