Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Mexico City seeks a Senior Legal Manager for Mexico, Colombia and Peru to provide regulatory and commercial legal advice to business operations. You will assess risk, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and deliver training on relevant topics.

Reporting to the Legal Director, Latin America, you will manage external counsel, collaborate with Compliance, IP, Transactions, Employment and other functions, and participate in local leadership activities to support business

Qualifications

• Law degree required.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification legal experience, preferably within life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with multinational companies and/or international law firms.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Advise business operations and ensure governance & compliance.
• Provide timely legal advice across regulatory and commercial matters to ensure compliance with laws and industry codes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks while supporting resolution of matters.
• Manage external counsel and budgets to deliver cost-effective services.
• Develop training and provide practical legal guidance in collaboration with other legal teams.
• Collaborate with local leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
