Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Legal Head for Mexico and LATAM distributors to lead the local legal function and partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions. You will oversee regulatory matters, contract negotiations, and global compliance while supporting regional business objectives.

The role requires deep experience in pharmaceutical/regulatory environments, strong negotiation skills, and bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution with active bar license in Mexico.
• 10+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience; 15+ preferred for seniority.
• Significant in-house or law-firm experience advising senior leaders on commercial, regulatory and strategic matters.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, with ability to draft and present complex legal matters in both languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal function for Amgen Mexico and Distributor LATAM markets.
• Advise the General Manager, affiliate leadership and functional leaders on strategic and day-to-day legal matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer, distributor, supplier and intercompany agreements; provide practical negotiation guidance.
