A leading consumer goods company in Mexico City is looking for an eCommerce Associate Manager to enhance digital experiences and implement strategies across various platforms. This role requires at least five years of experience in digital content strategy and strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities include managing projects, conducting market research, and improving customer experiences across eCommerce channels.

The eCommerce Associate Manager is responsible for the end-to-end process to deliver great experiences to our Shoppers through different Digital Platforms and will be a fundamental pillar supporting eCommerce operations in Latin America. This person will be accountable for the execution of our Brands across digital channels, enhancing the eCommerce experience in Amazon, Mercado Libre Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), and eRetailers. Additionally, this position will drive innovation initiatives and projects in eCommerce channels, seeking opportunities to increase sales and enhance the digital experience. The role requires well-demonstrated skills in these areas, solidly informed by shopper and consumer-centric standards.
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement innovative projects and initiatives in eCommerce channels to boost sales and improve the digital customer experience in alignment with business objectives.
Marketplaces expansion as a focus to increase our participation in these strategic channels
Review and refine Digital Shelf process and governance to deliver best in class experiences to online shoppers. Improve and maintain product content on digital channels, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and optimization for LATAM markets.
Conduct extensive market research and data to identify trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape that support strategic guidelines to increase sales/traffic at leading eRetailers in Latin America.
Link product content with digital marketing strategies to highlight differentiating features and drive competitive advantage.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of eCommerce initiatives/content and identify areas for improvement.
Customer Experience Enhancement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve the digital customer experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging journey.
Project Management: Manage eCommerce projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on eCommerce best practices and tools.
Build Digital Shelf KPIs and monitor performance to drive incremental sales and effective eCommerce store implementation. Guarantee adoption of Digital Shelf Playbook across the region and build capabilities to increase accountability and sponsorship from market leaders
Working closely with marketing and sales to identify and implement industry best practices in digital marketing, SEO, content marketing, and other relevant areas to enhance online retail performance.
Implement tools to gain efficiencies in eCommece, Content Management and monitor Digital Shelf Execution in the markets. Oversee product listings and ensure accurate descriptions, pricing, and availability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field such as Journalism, English, New Media, Communications or similar.
Five or more years’ experience creating and executing digital/content strategies for large projects.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving experience in the context of long-term planning and business development
Experience with ecommerce platforms, digital asset management, content management systems, and SEO is required. Experience working with Salsify, Syndigo and Dash a plus
Demonstrated writing and editorial sensibilities required
Knowledge and understanding of local marketplaces and on-line players
Familiarity with site analytics tools -- Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Omniture, Webtrends
Deep familiarity with user-centered design principles and best practices.
Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, possesses strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish required).
