The Role

As a LatAm BD Manager, your role will be to develop partnerships, establish relationships and scale Taptap Send’s business across Latin America. You will be responsible for running Taptap Send’s market expansion efforts at every stage, from brainstorming to country launch. You will travel extensively scoping out the best markets, partners, and products for money transfer and beyond, collaborating closely with key external stakeholders from ecosystem partners and Financial institutions.

You will have experience in negotiations, closing deals, building relationships and executing partnerships across LatAm. You will be excited to manage every aspect of key markets and thrive in operating solo in unfamiliar environments and figuring out what works and doesn’t. You will have an “own it” mindset, while equally obsessed with the experience of individual users. You enjoy challenges, you love travel and adventure, and you’re a relentless relationship builder and maintainer. You are enthusiastic about working in the fast-paced environment of a rapidly growing startup.

Responsibilities

  • Own relationships end-to-end with existing partners in LatAm
  • Oversee the TTS expansion strategy in new receiver markets across the region
  • Identify the best partners and stakeholders in target countries and directly build relationships with them
  • Be the face of Taptap Send to new and existing partners, negotiating best-in-class deals and overseeing the process from first meeting to launch
  • Work proactively with existing partners to problem solve performance issues and improve success rate and transfer speed
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Business Development, and Engineering teams to ensure Taptap Send has the best product offering in the market
  • Work with other members of the Growth team to develop and share best practices, and deliver on our ambitious targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment (tech, professional services etc)
  • High-growth startup experience; Fintech or Payments highly desirable
  • Outstanding negotiation skills
  • A data-driven decision-making mindset and business acumen
  • “No task too small” mentality and willingness to delve into gritty details to get things done
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for travel
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus
  • This role will be located in Mexico City or Bogotá (we are open to either city)
