Empresa Confidencial in Monterrey seeks an accomplished Labor and Employment attorney with 10+ years of multinational or corporate experience to lead complex employment matters and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee union relations and collective bargaining, negotiate contracts, provide risk-aware legal guidance, and partner with HR and operations to align business objectives with labor laws across Mexico.

Fluent English and high ethical standards are essential for success.

Formación

  • Law degree required.
  • 10+ years of labor and employment law experience in multinational or corporate environments.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Proven experience managing union relationships and leading collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of social security regulations and related agreements.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance on labor and employment matters and minimize risk exposure.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on policy updates and compliance strategies.
  • Deliver legal training programs based on risk assessments and business priorities.
  • Manage interactions with labor and social security authorities, including audits and claims.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies for labor disputes and oversee external counsel handling litigation.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of labor cases and provide updates to leadership.
  • Prepare and review employment agreements and documentation related to hiring, modification, suspension, and termination.
  • Support HR in union relations, including collective negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts supporting operations, including services, logistics, construction, REPSE-related agreements.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract structuring, risk allocation, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead training initiatives for internal teams on contractual processes and labor compliance topics.
  • Support internal investigations and partner with compliance teams when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance on labor and employment matters, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and minimizing risk exposure
  • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively advise business leaders on policy updates and compliance strategies
  • Deliver legal training programs based on risk assessments, business priorities, and evolving legal requirements
  • Manage interactions with labor and social security authorities, including responses to audits, claims, and official proceedings
  • Develop and execute legal strategies for labor disputes and oversee external counsel handling litigation
  • Maintain accurate tracking of labor cases and provide timely updates to leadership
  • Prepare and review employment agreements and documentation related to hiring, modification, suspension, and termination of employees
  • Support HR in union relations, including collective negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts supporting operations, including services, logistics, construction, and REPSE-related agreements
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract structuring, risk allocation, and compliance requirements
  • Lead training initiatives for internal teams on contractual processes and labor compliance topics
  • Support internal investigations and partner with compliance teams when required

Requirements

  • Law degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in labor and employment law within multinational or corporate environments
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Proven experience managing union relationships and leading collective bargaining negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of social security regulations and experience negotiating operational and commercial agreements, including indirect procurement, 3PL, REPSE, and construction
  • Deep understanding of Mexican labor legislation and regulatory framework
  • Ability to translate business objectives into practical legal solutions while identifying and mitigating risks
  • High standards of ethics, integrity, and commitment to compliance
