Job summary

Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office invites a Kubernetes Platform Support Engineer to join our IT group in Mexico City. You will manage and automate multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters (RKE2 on‑prem, GKE/EKS/AKS in cloud), monitor performance, and help deploy platform automation scripts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years Kubernetes administration, strong Linux, and experience with Docker, Git, and scripting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience building and managing Kubernetes clusters in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu) and container runtimes (Docker/ContainerD).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python/Go, Bash).
• Proficiency with Helm and Kustomize for deployment automation.
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes networking (Cilium).
• Experience with Rancher-based management and multi-tenant clusters.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub workflows, and CI/CD practices.
• Nice-to-have CKAD/CKA, and Cloud Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage high-performance Kubernetes clusters (on‑prem and cloud).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for platform operations.
• Monitor cluster performance and availability; troubleshoot issues.
• Implement multi-tenant patterns and self-healing automation.
• Collaborate with engineers on new Kubernetes versions and security policies.
