Job summary

Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office seeks an experienced Application Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise-grade platform services. You will own Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD enablement, partnering with security and enterprise engineering for reliable, self-service platforms.

You will focus on platform reliability, automation, governance, and scalability, without owning tenant code or pipelines, while delivering secure, scalable, and standardized platforms for

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT work with a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or 5+ years without.
• Strong Linux admin skills, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Hands-on Docker containerization with image optimization and networking.
• Deep Kubernetes ops knowledge: control plane, pods, RBAC, manifests, Helm.
• Experience Jenkins at scale: controller/agent, plugins, multi-tenant CI.
• CI/CD platform concepts, pipelines, and reliability practices.
• Experience with cloud basics (AWS), networking, and scripting (Shell, Python).

Responsibilities

• Own platform design, implementation, and lifecycle of Kubernetes and Jenkins.
• Operate Jenkins as a service with tenancy isolation and RBAC.
• Build secure, scalable Kubernetes platforms for internal apps and CI/CD workloads.
• Define platform standards, guardrails, and onboarding processes.
• Partner with application teams for onboarding and production readiness.
• Drive automation for provisioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with security for secure-by-default platform architectures.
• Ensure reliability via monitoring, alerts, capacity planning, and incident response.
