Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Entry Level Buyer in Tijuana, Baja California. You will process requisitions and support purchasing, sourcing, cost analyses and contract/purchase order generation to enable efficient operations.

You’ll develop improvement plans, support customer proposals with pricing and supplier selection, and perform analytical and administrative tasks for strategic purchasing initiatives in a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions and supports purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
• Develop improvement plans to support buyers and professionals related to response time, lean targets, quality, cost, logistics, development, and management to enable optimal and efficient operations.
• Support customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
• Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives.
