Syntax is a leading Managed Cloud Provider delivering ERP and security solutions for mission-critical environments. We are seeking a Junior Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering team in Mexico to support PAM deployments with CyberArk and other security technologies.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced, security-focused environment. You will work with Windows and Linux servers, AD concepts, and networking fundamentals to protect Syntax

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of IT, systems administration, help desk, or security-related experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Knowledge of Active Directory concepts and authentication.
• Foundational networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English with clear written and spoken communication.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and take ownership.

Responsabilités

• Support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration of CyberArk PAM.
• Onboard privileged accounts and manage safes and platform policies.
• Monitor health and availability of security platforms and troubleshoot issues.
• Handle service requests and incidents, meeting SLAs and informing stakeholders.
• Participate in patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance under guidance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and SOC teams to enforce security policies.
• Assist in audit and compliance activities with evidence and reports.
• Contribute to incident response activities and document procedures.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve team workflows.
