Job summary

Syntax is seeking a Junior Security Engineer in Mexico to join our Security Engineering team. You will support CyberArk PAM deployment, ongoing administration, and incident response for mission-critical environments. The role requires curiosity, strong English communication, and a proactive, organized approach.

You will work with Windows/Linux servers, AD concepts, and various security tools, with opportunities to grow into additional technologies in a collaborative, flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in IT, systems administration, help desk, or security-related role.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Understanding of Active Directory concepts, users, groups, permissions, and authentication.
• Foundational networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and security principles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and methodical problem solving.
• Proficient English communication, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, configuration, and administration of CyberArk PAM.
• Monitor health and availability of security platforms and troubleshoot issues.
• Handle service requests and incidents through the ticketing system.
• Participate in patching, upgrades, and maintenance of security tools.
• Collaborate with infra, operations, and SOC teams to enforce security policies.
• Support audit/compliance activities with evidence and reports.
• Participate in incident response as directed.
• Create and maintain clear documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflows.
