Job summary

HP in Mexico is seeking a Freight Accounting Analyst to join the Logistics Finance team. You will perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and support month-end closing while analyzing financial data, forecasting, and reporting to enable informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or has up to 2 years of experience in accounting/finance, with hands-on exposure to S/4HANA, Power BI, Excel, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Financial Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs account reconciliations and journal entries and supports month-end closing activities.
• Extracts and analyzes financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and key financial drivers.
• Supports financial analysis for the Logistics Finance organization and provides insights to key stakeholders.
• Supports budgeting and forecasting activities, including expense reviews and variance analysis.
• Interprets financial information, including forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow data.
• Develops an understanding of the organization’s financial processes, operations, and business.
• Supports financial reporting activities while ensuring compliance with reporting standards and corporate policies.
• Uses tools such as S/4HANA, Power BI, and other platforms to analyze data and support process automation.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation within finance activities.
• Supports priority projects through research, data analysis, and regular communication with internal stakeholders.
