We are looking for an Engineer to join our Wind Asset Advisory team in São Paulo and help provide solutions to support wind farm operational success for our customers.

You will get an overview of all types of wind technical expertise interesting for a developer, an operator, a lender, or an investor during the complete lifecycle of a project, focusing your activities on the operating assets. Your responsibilities include managing operational energy yield assessments and wind farm performance analysis by analyzing data and preparing reports for clients. You will execute projects according to defined methodology and guidelines.

You will also support the Performance team with activities such as back-cast studies, statistical analysis, or task automation. Depending on your experience and team activity, you may participate in projects related to turbine inspections or lifetime evaluation.

This role is hybrid from São Paulo.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility involves delivering in-depth operational intelligence on wind farm performance, including:

• Structuring and performing advanced analysis of high-frequency operational datasets from SCADA systems, fault alarms, and event logs using programming tools such as macros or Python.
• Interpreting and validating monthly performance reports from Operation & Maintenance contractors, providing data-driven insights for KPI tracking, availability metrics, and energy yield assessments.
• Utilizing specialized software and diagnostic tools to analyze turbine-level and plant-level data, supporting analysis of downtimes, wind anomalies, specific losses, power curves, among others.
• Calculating P50 energy production using established methodologies and analyzing wind data long-term series to correlate with performance findings.
• Other duties include developing scripts to improve analysis processes and analyzing technical documentation such as field activity contracts or inspection reports.

Qualifications

• University degree in a quantitative field (Physical Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or Renewable Energy) from an accredited institution.
• 2-3 years of experience in the wind industry.
• Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and strong team spirit.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in wind park development or due diligence processes in technical, environmental, or legal areas.
• Field expertise in wind turbines, including inspections of blades, gearboxes, etc.
• Project management experience or training, with PMBOK knowledge.
