Cognizant is seeking a Programmer Analyst Trainee focused on automation and software quality in a hybrid day shift role with no travel.

You will build reliable automation solutions using Playwright and API validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve digital products.

Formación

• Demonstrate working knowledge of automation testing concepts including test scripting and regression coverage.
• Experience with Playwright or similar frameworks for validating web UIs.
• Familiarity with API testing approaches including requests, validating responses, and assertions.
• Problem-solving skills for analyzing test failures and documenting issues.
• Understanding of software development life cycle and Agile practices.
• Interest or exposure to automotive industry workflows when present.
• Strong written and spoken communication in a hybrid work setting.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement robust automation test scenarios for core functions in a hybrid environment.
• Develop and maintain test scripts using modern automation frameworks to validate user flows.
• Execute functional and regression tests for web and API services.
• Analyze API responses for data accuracy and error handling with clear evidence.
• Identify and report defects with steps and impact to help diagnosis.
• Contribute to test data preparation reflecting realistic usage.
• Support CI/CD by integrating automation scripts and monitoring results.
• Refine test coverage by reviewing requirements and user stories.
• Participate in code and test case reviews to learn best practices.
• Coordinate with partners to clarify expected service behavior and test design.
• Document approaches and outcomes in structured reports.
• Engage in learning opportunities to expand automation knowledge.
• Apply automotive domain concepts to reflect realistic conditions.
