Vertiv is recruiting a JR Buyer to join the Purchasing team. The role focuses on data entry, file management, and basic purchasing tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the department.

The candidate should be organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Experience with MS Office and ERP systems is a plus.

Formación

  • Requires associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing admin or purchasing environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Basic MS Office skills; ERP/ purchasing software experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Handle administrative tasks to support purchasing functions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier info, and inventory data.
  • Serve as a point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in processing purchase orders and tracking orders for timely delivery.
  • Monitor order statuses and resolve discrepancies or delays.
  • Support supplier relationship management and communication.
  • Coordinate with receiving for inventory accuracy and material tracking.
  • Input and manage data in purchasing and inventory systems; ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation.

JR Buyer:

The Buyer will join our Purchasing team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer. This role provides essential support to the purchasing department, assisting with both administrative duties and entry-level purchasing tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department.

Responsibilities: -
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and document organization to support purchasing functions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, supplier information, and inventory data.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing communication and correspondence.
  • Assist in processing purchase orders, including creating, updating, and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor and follow up on order statuses with suppliers, addressing any discrepancies or delays.
  • Support in managing supplier relationships by assisting in resolving issues and maintaining good communication.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory levels by coordinating with receiving and warehouse teams to track materials.
  • Input, update, and manage data in purchasing and inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation.
Qualifications: -
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s preferred
  • 1 years of experience in a manufacturing administrative role or purchasing environment preferred
  • Organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP (IFS) or purchasing software is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes and inventory management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical & Environmental Demands: -
  • PPE Required when on the production floor – earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.
